From the offset Orla has wanted to offer a sustainable way to shop for accessories but trying to keep the luxury feel and excitment of accessory shopping!

The Aim

Orla wanted to offer a luxury leather product with a sustainable message. Having noticed the large volumes of waste produced in the the industry, she started designing handbags that are made from sustainably sourced remnant or end of line leather. Orla repurpose’s these skins into sustainable accessories. The quantities she gets are often limited so sometimes one of a kind bags are produced !

Waste

Any waste she produces herself in making her products she turns the offcuts into leather card holders or scrunchies to reduce her carbon footprint even further. 

Every product by Orla Vera Accessories is made in her studio in Co. Donegal, handmade by Orla herself !

Packaging

Orla is proud to say that her studio is almost plastic free and all of her packing Is made from recycled materials and is recycle-able or biodegradable.

Going Forward

Orla Vera Accessories is growing and with sustainability at the forefront of the company it is exciting to see what opportunities present themselves in the months ahead !
